Terms of Borrowing

1. Purpose of the Library

The SGC Nairobi library exists to serve the spiritual growth of our church family by making trusted, gospel-centered resources available to our members and regular attenders.

2. Eligibility

Borrowing is available to SGC Nairobi members and regular attenders.

All borrowing is managed digitally, but books are collected and returned in person.

3. Borrowing Limits

  • Members may borrow one (1) book at a time

  • The standard borrowing period is three (3) weeks

  • Exceptions may be granted for study or ministry purposes, subject to approval

4. Requests & Approval

  • All borrowing requests are reviewed by a library administrator

  • You will be notified by email once your request is approved

  • A library admin will coordinate with you to hand over the physical book

5. Care & Stewardship

Borrowed books remain the property of SGC Nairobi and are shared resources.

We ask that you:

  • Handle books with care

  • Avoid marking or damaging them

  • Keep them in good condition for future readers

6. Returns & Reminders

  • Please return books on or before the due date

  • Reminder emails will be sent as the return date approaches

  • If a book is overdue, an admin may follow up with you directly

7. Lost or Damaged Books

If a book is lost or significantly damaged, we will kindly ask you to help with the cost of replacement.

Our aim is restoration and stewardship, not punishment.

8. Borrowing History

For accountability purposes, we may keep a basic record of borrowing activity.

This information is used only for library administration.

9. A Grace-Centered Commitment

These terms are not meant to be burdensome, but to help us love one another well by sharing resources responsibly.
